The following story of these two Lurcher dogs happened in the UK. Lurcher dogs are part Greyhound. They are fun-loving, active and gentle dogs. Their life span can reach 13 yrs. old. Unfortunately and so sadly, these two dogs never had a chance to live out their lives.
I copied and pasted the entire story for you, the viewer, to read about this horrendous act of animal cruelty.
To all those who think Michael Vick deserves a second chance to have a dog, let me remind you, this dastardly deed Vick did to end the lives of fighting dogs by hanging them when they did not perform to his satsifaction, should take a closer look at this unforgettable photograph- for it speaks volumes more than what I can possibly write!
As I said, Lurcher dogs are gentle dogs. Can you imagine these two dogs trusting the person or persons who had them and this is what they did to them?
I honestly wouldn’t have any problem with the perpetrators of this crime to be hanged as well.
It is sickening, heartbreaking and devastating to know what behaviors are acted out on innocent animals for God knows what reason.
We must create solutions to end animal cruelty in this world.
Help find sick yobs who hanged two lurcher puppies from canal bridge
by Krissy Storrar, Daily Mirror 1/01/2011
We apologise for distressing you and your family with this sickening picture. We are publishing it in the hope the beasts who did this are caught and severely punished
HANGED by the neck in a barbaric, sadistic killing, two dogs dangle either side of a canal bridge.
This appalling image of cruelty in a picturesque village has sickened even case-hardened RSPCA workers.
The pups – a male and female lurcher aged around 12-18months – were both wearing leather collars, but had no identity tags or micro-chips.
The grim scene was discovered by horrified driver Mavis Taylor, 78, who found the road blocked by a 20ft rope slung around the dogs’ necks at either end.
She said: “It was terrible. I got out and looked over one side of the bridge and saw one dog, then I looked over the other side and saw the second.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes. I just got back in my car and phoned the police. How could anyone do that?
“I was disgusted. They were only young dogs, and beautiful too. It’s a terrible crime. I’m still shaking.”
She added: “I’ve lived here for 20 years. It’s a lovely, quiet area. This just isn’t the sort of thing you expect.
“I hope they catch who did it. They deserve everything that’s coming to them.” The RSPCA has launched a major investigation into the macabre executions at Congerstone, Leics.
And they released this graphic picture in a bid to trap whoever is responsible.
Local inspector Sheona Morley described it as the worst case of cruelty she had encountered in almost 14 years working for the charity.
Ms Morley told how she had to cut the dogs down with the help of two police officers. She said: “It made me absolutely sick to my stomach to see two such beautiful, stunning animals hanging there like that.
“It appears to have been a callous, premeditated act and it is highly likely that more than one person could have been involved.
“It would have taken quite an effort and a fair bit of planning to carry out something as evil as this.”
She added: “There is absolutely no excuse to treat any animal in such a way. It’s just beyond words. The dogs seemed well-looked after at some point. It is a mystery where they have come from, or who has done this.
“It could be that the animals were stolen – we just don’t know at the moment. We would urge anyone who is missing two lurchers to contact us.
“It’s just a mindless act of cruelty. It’s extremely distressing.”
Police have launched an appeal for information. They believe whoever was responsible may be deeply disturbed and could pose a serious threat.

The second sickening story I received in a private message. This was found on Craig’s List about feral cats being entombed alive. Once again, the article can be read in its entirety.
I know some people are sick of feral cats but to seal up windows or doors for them not to be able to leave or for anyone to feed/water them tends to lend itself to a bankrupt society that could be this cruel. Allowing any animal to die a slow, horrible death by starvation and dehydration……well, you get the picture.
How do people not only live with themselves to commit such heinous acts but how do they do it in the first place? Are they morally bankrupt? Is their environment the culprit? Or are they just bad people in this world? Your thoughts?

If you can help here is the information: each building has about 3 basement windows front; back; side. I have seen 4 or more cats entering/leaving at different times. someone has been feeding them but with this new gate can not pass food or water through. The feral cats that live in the basements of the Marlboro Projects in Brooklyn are being entombed alive! Three cats were trapped and spayed on December 14, when I attempted to return them to the site the day before Christmas, the basement window was sealed shut with other cats and kittens trapped inside. The location for this particular site is 2250 West 11th street: building #3. The manager’s office: (718) 373-9513 There is another building (one over) where people tell me a kitten has been trapped for some time. This is a common practice and other trappers have confirmed it to me. This must stop, it sickens those who are aware if it. the word is going out over the internet and rescue groups are asking why the news is not exposing this horrible experience. the aspca has been contacted and given all of the above information, the cacc has been emailed. Efforts will continue until the situation is corrected Go Camping for 95p! Vouchers collectable in the Daily and Sunday Mirror until 11th August . Click here for more information
