Winge Pointe Hunt club, the epicenter for live pigeon shoots in Pennsylvania, canceled their live pigeon shoot that was scheduled for today, December 9th, 2017. The club was going to hold a tower shoot in which 1,000 live pigeons and live pheasants were to be the victims.
In a stunning announcement earlier this week, Wing Pointe said they weren’t going forward with today’s shoot because of animal rights activists’ activities. Here is their direct statement:
“Tower Shoot Cancelled Saturday 12/9/17
Wing Pointe has made a decision not to shoot pigeons due to animal rights activists’ activities. We will be hosting a pheasant tower shoot soon and will let you know when.
I traveled to Wing Pointe to see for myself if the club was being truthful. No reverberating gun shot sounds were heard anywhere near the vicinity of the club! It was an exhilarating feeling knowing live pigeons and pheasants didn’t have to suffer a frightful and dreadful death at the hands of shooters and trapper boys whose “job” is to gather the injured birds and brutalize them before they die.
Is this genuinely the end of live pigeon shoots at Wing Pointe? Time will tell.

Death 2 pigeon shoots says
Nope. Not the end. They’ll start when the ar people calm down. Said with sarcasm ?

Thanks for your input. Let’s hope you’re wrong. 🙂
Death 2 pigeon shoots says
The memo is ambiguous. Could mean only their tower shoot was canceled and not all pigeon shoots. They purposely chose those words to confuse us. Well done by them.

I tend to agree with you. It doesn’t state clearly that this hunt club will never shoot live pigeons again. Their statement makes it sound as if they won’t engage in using pigeons but never comes out with a clear and precise statement saying they’re finished with live pigeon shoots.
Thanks!
Nadia says
yeah it is ambiguous. Their website still has their previous live pigeon shoots listed. I think they’re playing a game.

I don’t know. If they were through with pigeon shoots, I think they would’ve come out and said it directly. They used tricky language. On purpose. Of course. :/

Who thinks this is hunting? It’s disgusting!
