After two days of testimony, it has been determined Kristen Lindsey will keep her license for now. Lindsey is the veterinarian who shot and killed a cat with a bow and arrow. She then posted a photo of the cat with the arrow in his head on Facebook where it went viral.
Dr. Bill Folger testified at the hearing stating the cat in the photo was alive. Another veterinarian disputed those claims and said the feline was deceased and died quickly.
The case is on hold until May 10th when attorneys must provide outlines to the judge for handling future briefings.
Attorneys for both sides must supply closing arguments by June 10th.
Misty Christo, an attorney with Alley Cat Allies, was in the hearing room in Austin for both days of testimony about Tiger, the cat that Lindsey killed. The Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners argued that the cat who was killed was in fact Tiger, was owned, and was killed without his owners’ consent.
“It was shocking to hear testimony confirming that Tiger was still alive in the picture that Kristen Lindsey posted on Facebook,” Christo said. “The testimony demonstrated in terrible detail how much Tiger suffered from her cruelty.”
“And regardless of any questions about whether this cat was Tiger, it was completely unacceptable for a veterinarian to kill him this way. Kristen Lindsey betrayed the trust that we place in veterinarians to care for animals. The information from this hearing emphatically reaffirmed that her veterinary license should be revoked forever. She should never care for an animal again.”

she has NO place in the world of Veterinarians, people who work hard to save animals lives.
I couldn’t agree more! No animal hospital should allow her to work. She clearly had no remorse over what she did. She was smiling and happy about her “kill!” I find her behavior reprehensible!
They were wrong letting her keep her license
GRRRRRRRR
I hope NO ONE hires her!! She’s unethical!
NO WAY!
If she keeps her license…her please bargain should be that she must post in her office…VERY largely…what she has done…so all the ppl comming to her office know what she is capable of…even human patients have that ability…to know their doctor…and past criminal suits…and their outcome..
She should not keep her license because she has broken the oath of her position. She doesn’t have the compassion to care for all living things that is necessary for the position.
That’s right, Judith. She broke her oath of first, DO NO HARM!
Who would hire her if she’s able to keep her license? What animal hospital would want her. All she would do is bring unwanted attention to the place. I hope no one hires her If she gets to keep her license which I hope to God she doesn’t. What veterinarian kills a cat and beams with the kill? A sicko! That’s who!
Another joke? It’s like hitting your head against a wall every time someone gets away with animal cruelty. Damn!
I’m sick of this lady. Take her license away once and for all!
Thank you ever so for you article. Thanks Again. Really Great.
ew
can’t stand this woman. reprehensible behavior. a lot of nerve to ask to keep her license.
Can’t stand her.
oh hell no!
I hope it’s revoked next month! That would be justice for Tiger!
She never should of gotten her license back. Who want to deal with a proud cat murdered as their vet? Not me, that’s for sure!
Yuck! Why?!!! 🙁
That is BS!
She doesn’t seem to have a clue about her own abusive actions. Her license should be stripped.
License should be revoked.
Her license should be revoked and if it isn’t then I would say no one should hire her. There is something fundamentally wrong with this girl. She should never be in a position to care for a human or animal needing medical attention
