This Monday, November 3rd, I will be hosting my show on BCTV (Ch.13 on Comcast and Ch. 19- Service Electric) at 7:30 PM at which time the new PA Dog Law, now known as Act 119, will be reviewed. Tune in to find out how this new law will affect the many thousands of dogs and puppies in PA puppymills today.
My panel of guests will include Sarah Speed, PA State Director of the Humane Society of the United States , Deb Haney, Vice-President of a Tail to Tell, Inc. and Linda Eroh, a volunteer with A Tail To Tell. A Tail To Tell is a great organization of people dedicated to freeing dogs from puppymills. They take the sickest, the old, the scared, the severely damaged/traumatized dogs and give them veterinarian care, love and hope for a better life. A Tail to Tell works with other local and national rescue groups. They truly do a tremendous job.
You will also meet two dogs who are puppymill survivors. One dog has been debarked. You may already know the other dog ~ Sammy. Sammy is Linda’s dog and his story of living in one of the worst Amish puppymills for 10 years as a stud dog reached the Associated Press this year and many have read his story across the country. You can read his story here. Pictured below is Sammy today at 12 yrs. old. I have had the pleasure of meeting Sammy and let me tell you he is such a sweet boy. He truly is one of the lucky ones.
