This Wednesday, on the eve of Thanksgiving, my topic will explore the Friends of the Reading Police K-9 Unit’s newest and very special fundraiser.
Keith Claytor and Paulette Williams, Vice-President and President respectively, organized this group because of the tragic death of Officer Scott Wertz. Officer Wertz was killed in 2006 on the streets of Reading while working. Keith and Paulette felt Officer Wertz may have had his life saved if he had a K-9 partner. Thus, began the formation of this great group.
The city of Reading now has six K-9 Officers because of Keith and Paulette and the other volunteers.
Join me when my guests, Norm and Joanne Schmidt, volunteers of Friends of the Reading Police K-9 Unit, will be discussing their newest and very special endeavor to help the Reading Police K-9 Unit.
Tune into Ch. 13 (Comast) or Ch19 (Service Electric) or streamline it live on BCTV at 6:30PM. As usual, this is a live call-in program- 610-378-0426. You can also email me personally with any questions/comments at tevangelistaepp@yahoo.com.
