Tomorrow evening, my guest on my “Animal Welfare Issues” television show, will be Senator Roy Afflerbach (Ret.). Mr. Afflerbach is also the founder, treasurer, and former president of Humane PA PAC, a political action committee.
With 2016 around the corner, Roy and I will be discussing how we, as private citizens, can make a difference in animals’ lives by getting to know our elected officials in preparation for their endorsing and support of legislation to protect animals this coming year.
Starting on the local level where you live can have the possibility of having an impact globally. There are many things we can do to further our cause for animals in our current positions.
Getting to know our public officials is an important step in the right direction. Roy will discuss the importance of establishing a rapport with municipal officials who were elected or reelected this past November to aid in furthering animal legislation.

I have a question. Why do most bills never get passed into laws in PA? It took forever for the new Dog Law.
