This sweet and affectionate Argentinian Dogo was found as a stray. The Pocono Animal Welfare Society says Rosie was clearly used for breeding. She most likely lived in a commercial kennel for most of her life. She is now free of that environment and learning to live like a regular dog which she enjoys. This girl is seeking a home where she can be a dog who can have fun, be loved, sniff (hunting instinct), be brushed, and finally able to run!
Rosie is approximately 4 yrs. old, weighs 91 lbs., spayed, up-to-date on shots, crate-trained, and microchipped. She gets along well with other dogs. She also enjoys playing and requires lots of exercise. She loves kongs!
Rosie has a sweet nature and is a favorite at the vet’s office with those who have come to know her. She’s a bit timid at first but warms up quickly! 🙂 She was introduced to cats briefly and that went well.
This sweetheart needs to be in a home where she will be taken out often. She is 75% housebroken which is good since she lived in a commercial kennel. PAWS would prefer someone who has experience with the Argentinian Dogo breed. A fenced-in yard is preferred. No small children for Rosie.
