Staff from the PSPCA will be my guests on my next TV show. If you want to learn about the PSPCA and the work they do for animals in the state of Pennsyvlania, tune in Wednesday, June 25th at 6:30 PM.
They recently removed five puppies from a commercial kennel in Berks County, PA. had a reality show on Animal Planet showcasing the many cases of animal cruelty they handle.
According to their website:
The Pennsylvania SPCA was the second humane organization to be founded in the United States. While you might think that all “SPCA’s” are related, actually they are not! What makes the Pennsylvania SPCA so special? We are so much more than a shelter. Throughout the years we have been dedicated to improving the lives of Pennsylvania’s animals through our core programs including:
- A humane law enforcement department that responds to situations of animal cruelty and neglect
- An animal shelter to house the animals we have rescued and
- A low-cost veterinary clinic providing medical services to clients in the Philadelphia region
Our humane law enforcement department is one of the most active in the country. Our officers have full police powers to enforce state anti-cruelty laws. Each year they rescue thousands of animals from difficult and dangerous conditions.
They allow people to adopt 365 days each year.
Check out the show and learn more about the PSPCA. You are welcome to call in during the live program to ask questioins or comment about their organization. The number to call during the show (only) is 610-378-0426.

I hear the PSPCA now helps Berks County animal issues? When or why are they called since we have the ARL and the Berks County Humane Society?

I liked the show but find it disturbing that nearly killing a dog will only get you a summons like a traffic ticket. That’s bizarre and not right.
Robin says
Is there a way I can see the show again?

I saw your show. Your guest didn’t want to really answer the question about animal abusers getting a slap on the wrist. When you pressed her for more information, she let it be known how abuser only get a summons, a traffic ticket, if you will. It’s a joke to say PA has tough animal cruelty laws. A JOKE!
