What are the qualifications to be a foster mom?
Catherine, If you go to their website, pactforanimals.org and click on fostering, it will link you over to the form that all potential foster parents must fill out to see if they qualify. If they are interested, they will contact you.
What if I have to take the pet to a vet, who pays for it? Thank you.
I think that’s great that military people have an option so they musn’t surrender their pets because they must leave!! Very cool!
Who pays for the care of the pet while the person is deployed? I’m interested but I can’t afford to take care of the pet if there is a health problem.
Maryann, your answer to your question can be found in my reply to both you and Catherine concerning the costs of caring for the foster pet.
@ Catherine and Maryann, the soldier deployed is responsible for paying all costs associated with taking care of the pet. Plus, you stay in contact with the soldier as well. With today’s technology, you can skype, text, email and of course, talk to them by phone. I hope it works out for both of you if you’re interested in this great opportunity. Good luck.
