On September 15th, 2018, , a 19-year-old Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania man, Christopher Skorets, threw seven cats out of a second story window at 122 Archbald Street, Carbondale, after arguing with his girlfriend. He also took their dog, Tara, for a walk and claimed he killed her but recanted that story and said he abandoned her. Tara (new name) was found and is being cared for by a foster family. Most of the cats are being cared for by neighbors. One cat is still missing.
According to court papers, Skorets told his girlfriend,, Megan Dalyrmple, he was going to kill her, her three children and her pets. He beat up the girlfriend and pulled out her hair during the first assault in Pennsylvania.
He faces domestic violence charges along with animal cruelty charges in Pennsylvania.
Skorets admitted to police that he and Dalyrymple had a fight when he accused her of arranging to have sex with a man in exchange for cat food and litter. He stated he threw a dresser drawer at her, fought with her son who tried to choke him, according to the police report.
Police had been looking for him until he was arrested on October 7th in Virginia for allegedly sexually assaulting a child with mental disabilities, abduction, and strangulation. He is in a Virginia Beach jail facing multiple serious charges. Pennsylvania Police have no idea when he will be taken back to PA to face those charges.
The children are being cared for by others. Why doesn’t the mom have her children when they need their parent the most?
Skorets has some type of personality disorder if he can sexually assault a child and throw pets out of second story window. If what he’s been charged with is true, he is violent sexual predator. Bill Cosby has been named a violent sexual predator and is currently in prison serving time drugging a woman and having sex with her. Skorets should be in jail for a long time.
I don’t feel he’ll spend any time in jail for the animal cruelty charges. Pennsylvania’s laws still aren’t strong enough against animal abusers.
There’s more disturbing news to this abusive story. Dalyrymple claims she loves Skorets in a facebook posted dated September 25th. She wrote a response to a man who claimed she was cheating on a previous boyfriend with Skorets. This is where she declared her love for the man who threatened her life: “ Me and the 19 year old love each other very much…………keep running your (expletive) mouth about my man I will (expletive) kick your (expletive) face.. Me and Jimmy are not together anymore. No one talks about my man. I will (expletive) anyone who try to come between us.”
Christoper Skoret’s fb page claims the two got engaged on September 21st- six days after the attack on her life.

You can say Dalyrumple has low self-esteem issues to stay with this abuser but I feel it goes much deeper than this. Let me preface this by saying her sister, Lumpin Geri, is looking for her sister, Megan. She says hasn’t heard from her since the assault. However, the comments she posted two weeks ago paints a different picture about Megan.
Tara, Megan’s dog who was abandoned, was found but she was in extremely poor shape. She was so weak and malnourished, she could barely stand. She had mammary tumors, flea-infested skin and overgrown nails when she was found which warranted a quick trip to an emergency animal hospital. This sweet dog pulled through and has has been recuperating in a home where she’s getting plenty of TLC.

Tara’s abandonment might have been the best thing that happened to her. Her medical issues are finally be addressed which begs the question, why didn’t Dalyrmple get help for her dog previously? Her deteriorating health didn’t suddenly happen while she was missing.
Also, what kind of person stands by the person who not only attacked you but threatened your life, the lives of your children and pets then sexually assaults a child and strangles someone? If Megan was traveling with him, why did she write no one better come between her and her man or she will hurt them?
Did Megan travel to Virginia with Skorets? By the way, she uses the name Megan Skorets on two separate fb. accounts.
If Megan Dalyrymple went willingly, she is complicit in the domestic violence attack and the abuse her cats and dog had to endure. And she must be charged. She also needs help for herself and her children whether she supports her boyfriend or not. Her children need to know none of this was their fault and teach them compassion toward people and animals. They are impressionable and be very confused right now especially after witnessing such barbaric and cruel behavior by the man their mom claims to love.
