The ASPCA and the HSUS are asking their members and fellow animal advocates to join them on Tuesday, April 9th, for Humane Lobby Day 2013.
This all-day event will take place in Harrisburg from 9AM – 4PM. This day gives you the chance to speak to your legislators about pending and upcoming animal legislation. This is your chance to speak on behalf of the animals. Let state lawmakers hear your voice about bills and laws you support or oppose when it comes to animal welfare.
There will be a briefing to help prepare you for speaking with your elected officials by the ASPCA and the HSUS. They will also inform you of pending legislation or upcoming legislation regarding animals.
If you’ve never spoken with your lawmakers about animal issues about which you care, Humane Lobby Day is the day to do it.
The place to meet is North Office Building, Hearing Room 2, 401 North Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120.
You must register/RSVP with the ASPCA by April 3rd by clicking here.
You can register/RSVP with the HSUS by clicking here.
There are quite a few pending bills concerning animals in PA this year. The animals need your voice to let our state lawmakers know how we feel and what we want them to do.
Remember, if you can’t attend on April 9th, you can always call your lawmakers on your own at any time.
Let’s speak for those who can’t speak for themselves!
Its such as you read my thoughts! You appear
to understand so much about this, like you wrote the e book in it
or something. I feel that you could do with some percent to force the message a bit,
but other than that, that is wonderful blog. A
great read. I’ll certainly be back.
Been there. Done that. You can call your state lawmakers and make appt’s on your own at any time. I felt crammed for time and felt they’re hearing the same thing repeatedly the same day.
Sweet blog! I found it while surfing around on Yahoo News.
Thanks
I can’t afford to take off of work to attend. Who can afford to do that and all day? It’s a nice idea but not practical.
The HSUS is a large corporation that is more concerned about raising money and will use any situation in the news to make a buck off of it. I would never go to an event sponsored by them!
It’s perfect time to make some plans to help animals.
I desire to learn more issues about animal legislation.
Can’t go.
thanks! Hope I can get off work to go. sounds interesting.
I blog frequently and I truly thank you for your information.
This article has really peaked my interest. I am going to book mark your site and keep checking for new details about once a week.
I opted in for your RSS feed too.
I missed the deadline. Sigh. 🙁 Guess I’ll have to go on my own or make appt’s with my Reps. It’s probably better that way. One on one instead of all these people going together talking about the same bills.
I think this is among the most important info for me.
And i’m glad reading your article. Can’t wait to hear what Sen. Afflerbach has to say about PA’s pending bills. Will be tuning in!
