This sad face belongs to a dog who has been missing for nine years in Australia. Meet Muffy. Muffy was a puppy when she ran away from the Lampard home in Brisbane. Muffy was given to Chloe Rushby, the now 17 yr. old daughter who has never forgotten about Muffy, on her eighth birthday. Muffy originally came from a Brisbane shelter.
Muffy apparently traveled over 1200 miles from Brisbane, Australia to Melbourne.. An anonymous caller alerted the RSPCA about Muffy. When found, Muffy was living in squalid conditions, it was reported. The RSPCA said Muffy was suffering from a severe case of dermatitis from a flea allergy and was very skinny underneath all of that matted hair. How could anyone leave a pet like this outside to live and not give a damn about her health or welfare?
The vets, nurses and animal attendants worked tirelessly to return her back to health. What they also discovered was a microchip with her former owner’s information. And after nine long years, Muffy will finally be reunited with her former family.
What happened to Muffy after she ran away nine years ago is anyone’s guess. But it is clear that she did live in the backyard where she was found for at least a year, if not two.
Muffy and Chloe will have a special reunion today. A TV station is flying Chloe to Melbourne so the two of them can bond again. After the reunion, Muffy and Chloe will fly back to Brisbane where Muffy can have a great life again. Jet Pets will fly Muffy in luxury back home where she belongs!
