As this poster clearly states, Rio, a pit bull, has been missing since February 14th. His parents,Troy and Steph, are unquestionably anxious to bring Rio home where he belongs.
He was last seen yesterday and Friday in Fleetwood near FM Browns. He has not been seen since then.
A facebook page- Bring Rio Home – was started with the purpose of giving the latest sightings of Rio and a place where interested people are sharing their thoughts and ideas to help reunite Rio with his parents.
Rio’s dad, Troy, has asked those who are searching for Rio to follow these rules when they think they have spotted the missing dog.
Because Rio has extreme anxiety, anyone actively searching for Rio is asked not to call out his name if they catch sight of him. You are not to chase him since that only induces Rio to run away. If you are driving at nighttime, do not shine your headlights directly on him. The bottomline is not to interact with Rio because it will scare him away.
All that is asked is for you to call Troy if you should see Rio. That’s it. Troy will take it from there. Troy’s phone number is 484-334-3376.
There are two humane traps set for him. They are looking into attaining more. If you can be of assistance in that department, please go to the FB page. Troy’s phone is being used for Rio sightings.
If you have other suggestions or can be of help to find Rio or the red Chihuahua that is missing (below, please contact them.)
A reward is being offered for the return of this cutie, a red Chihuahua that was lost in the 500 block of Lancaster Avenue in the Shillington/Reading area.
If you see this little dog, please contact:
dqbqr-3650767762@comm.craigslist.org
You can also contact the Animal Rescue League if you find this little dog. You can go to their website and fill out a found pet form or take the dog to the shelter.
Let’s bring these dogs home.
Remember the following if you’ve lost a pet:
Contact your local shelters.
Put up fliers and posters.
Give a reward but don’t state the amount.
Check your local newspapers under the lost and found pet section.
Reach out to others especially via social media. Many pets are returned to their homes because of the internet.
Check craigslist.
Set up humane traps. Put out blankets, food and water.
Follow up on leads.
Keep looking and NEVER GIVE UP!! Pets have been known to have found their way back home months after their disappearance.

You put some great tips on finding a lost pet. I’d suggest contact every shelter within a 50 mile radius. Put up alot of signs. The more, the better. Be careful of scammers who claim they have your pet. Ask for identifable marks. It’s so sad and cruel for people to pull scams and play on people’s emotions at a time like this. Unfortunately, it happens and you must beware.

Wishing everyone the safe return of their pets.

Oh my goodness! This is sad.
I don’t understand why I am unable to subscribe to your blog. Is there anybody having similar RSS issues? Anyone who knows the answer will you kindly respond? Thanx!!

I’m extremely sad these dogs are missing. So many pets go missing every single day. Social media is a good platform to get the word out there. I don’t live in your area but am hoping for the best. Been there myself so I empathize with the people. NEVER stop looking. The fact there are sightings of Rio is an excellent sign. Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a great
blog like this one these days.

It’s a pity you don’t have a donate button! I’d without a doubt donate to this blog and cause! I’ll keep checking back to see if these two dogs have been returned to their owners. I suppose for now i’ll settle for bookmarking and
adding your RSS feed to my Google account. I look forward to
new updates and will share this website with my Facebook group.
Talk soon!

This dog seems very , very nervous and anxious that you can’t even call out his name. I hope they find both of these dogs.

Greetings from Los angeles! I’m bored to death at work so I decided to check out your site on my iphone during lunch break. I enjoy the information you present here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home. I obviously can’t help to find the dogs that are missing but my heart goes out to those affected. I will check back to see what happens. Good luck!

Don’t stop looking!! Never give up!! Get as many people as you can to help look. Place more humane traps with your clothes in them. They’ll be drawn to your scent.

I know many people who are looking for Rio. As you said, he has been seen but no one can catch him. Maybe people should back off for a couple of days if Rio gets extremely agitated. He may have the feeling he’s being watched. If he’s left alone, he might feel safer to enter one of the traps. Only a thought.
Jerry says
Fingers crossed.

Hi Dear, please tell these people to put up posters, fliers, pictures and important info and contact information wherever you’re able. The more people see this dog’s face or any lost pet’s face, the better the chances of bringing the dog home.

These dogs have not been found. People are still searching. If you live in the Fleetwood/Oley area, they are asking people to go to their Bring Rio Home FB page and download a flier. They’re asking others to post this flier at various businesses, etc.
Rio has been seen but has not allowed anyone to catch him.
Thanks for asking, Nelly.

Rio was found yesterday. There’s a service dog that ran away from its owner missing in the Wyomissing area from yesterday. Too many pets are missing.

Rio was found yesterday. A service dog is missing in the Wyomissing area after it ran away from its owner. That seems strange for a service dog to do that. Wonder why he did that?

Glad Rio was found!
