It seems that after years and years of campaigns by animal activists, lawmakers and businesses are finally waking up to the harsh reality that animals do not exist for our entertainment.
The Los Angeles City Council unanimously voted to ban the use of wild animals in entertainment! An official ordinance is being drafted and will soon be returned to the Council for final approval.
This ban will affect circuses, wild animal exhibitions and also animal rentals for house parties (which sounds ridiculous.)
This is definitely a victory for wild animals that are used for entertainment purposes. It has been documented that animals are known for getting hurt while being trained to learn “tricks” for audiences.
Los Angeles is the largest city in the nation to take action to prohibit the use of wild animals for performances. Smaller cities in the U.S. have taken similar actions.
It seems that after years and years of campaigns by animal activists, lawmakers and businesses are finally waking up to the harsh reality that animals do not exist for our entertainment.

LA done good says
This is certainly great news. If each city put bans like this in place, we will stop the use of wild animals for entertainment. The tide is turning and we’re gaining big time. Hooray for LA!
