Angelina and her dog, Lucy, the therapy dog
In a previous post, I wrote about Lucy, the certified Pit Bull therapy/Good Citizen dog who was denied doing her job at the Schuylkill Valley Elementary School District after the Superintendent found out Lucy had been there one morning in September. The decision was based upon her breed. Lucy has been rigorously trained and is certified to be a therapy dog.
Outrage from animal advocates caused a campaign on Facebook to occur- Letters for Lucy- that was started by Kristen Torchia, Lucy’s mom, and her friends. Letters for Lucy led to the showing of “Beyond the Myth” about breed discrimination at the Hamburg Movie theater a over a week ago. I attended that movie and was quite moved.
Join me Wednesday evening at 6:30PM as Kristen Torchia and her Pit Bull therapy dog, Lucy, Jill Aichroth Mosser and Buzz Miller, founder and and president of PACT- People/Animals = Companions Together will be my guests to talk about this timely topic. You don’t want to miss this!
You will only be able to streamline it live here on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
The show will replayed on regular tv stations on Thursday , November 29th at 3:30 PM, Saturday, December 1st at 5:30 PM, Sunday, December 2nd at 8:30 AM, Monday, December 3rd at 4PM and Tuesday, December 4th 11PM.
