What about the two horses who died at Preakness? The horse racing industry and cruel to horses. Winning horses have been found at slaughterhouses. They don’t care about them. They give them steroid and other medicines so they perform better to make the owners and the fans MONEY! I find it utterly disgusting! It sickens me that people dress up to watch animals run so they can profit! Talk about this.
Hey, what about the Petsmart groomer who broke a dog’s ribs that caused him to die? That’s worthy of a discussion. People should treat their groomers like babysitters. Get references to make sure you’re dealing with someone who is legit. People forget they’re handing over their pet and leaving them. Who knows what happens when you’re gone. I always stay with them.
The vet from Taiwan who killed herself after saying in a TV interview she euthanized animals. The backlash was fierce and cruel. She couldn’t take it and ended her life.
Tina, your show was really good tonight. You hit a lot of really hard topics tonight but I guess the one that got to me the most was does that to kill herself. Is so so very sad that she took her own life because the morons on the internet. She was trying to do good for the dogs but the people were too dumb to see it or hear it. I know she already felt guilty for having to euthanize the dogs but it wasn’t her fault as you said. People fail to hear the real truth about animals in shelters. They exist because people abandon or give up their pets. They don’t go out looking for pets to euthanize. If it wasn’t for shelters more animals will be left on roads or killed by their owners. At shelters they are humanely euthanized . If shelters didn’t exist then shelter workers wouldn’t get compassion fatigue and feel the burden of the guilt that stays with them after doing the dirty work for the owners who don’t take responsibility. It is the owner’s fault that they are pets are in shelters and that forces of workers to kill their pets. Let’s call a spade a spade here. Your guests were excellent tonight I really enjoyed them. Please have them on again.

Susie, Mary Loder mentioned the Animal Rescue League is in need of help due to a sudden influx of abandoned of over 30 cats/kittens. The Hillside SPCA of which my guest Janine Choplick is a Humane Officer, also mentioned they are always in need of supplies for their cats/kittens. It is kitten season when all shelters are full across the nation, unfortunately.
