This is Jay from First State Greyhound Rescue. He is currently available for adoption. He has a great personality and loves people!! Check out www.firstgreys.org to learn more about Jay and other greyhounds up for adoption.
Join me this evening when I host my new show on BCTV ~ A Close-Up Look at Animal Welfare Issues at 7PM (Ch. 13 on Comcast and Ch. 19 on Service Electric. You can also go to www.bctv.org and watch the show live!
As with this blog, my goal is to raise awareness about many important animal issues. I hope to give the viewers an up close and personal look at these issues with firsthand experiences as told by my guests and me.
There are so many issues affecting animals today ~ animal research, seal hunts, poaching of animals for body parts, factory farming, puppymills and so much more. My mission is to make the public aware of what goes on behind the scenes to these animals.
Tonite’s program will focus on greyhound racing. This racing industry is cruel and inhumane to so many greyhounds. They have short careers and many die when they are no longer of use. The bottom line is these dogs aren’t making money for their owners.
Joining me this evening will be Bill Weinberg, Founding Member and Board Member of First State Greyhound Rescue, Inc. (www.firstgreys.org) and Janet Selman, Vice President of the same rescue group. Accompanying them will be three furry friends. Two are their personal dogs and the third will be Jay who is currently available for adoption. Jay’s picture and information are on their website. Check him out and the other greyhounds that are up for adoption!
I hope you will tune in to see what wonderful animals greyhounds are and what great things the rescue groups do to save their lives.
The show is live and your calls are welcomed. The number to call is 610-378-0426 during the live broadcast. The show will air again on Wed. at 1PM, Thursday at 10PM and Friday at 9AM.
