I want to wish my dad a Happy Father’s Day. Even though he won’t be reading this, I am thinking of him. He is pictured here with my two guys, Shadow and Jazz. He is the one who introduced me to the love of dogs and animals I would have my entire life.
I rarely ever saw my dad cry. When our beloved dog, Prince , died after having him for sixteen years I was in shock when I witnessed my dad with tears in his eyes. That was a rare sight to behold but I also knew we shared the same passion and together we buried Prince. It was a difficult challenge for us but we were able to get it through it together.
I have shared my dogs with him ~ at one time when he was in better health ~ letting him “babysit” my dogs. He loved that until it became too much for him. But I would take my dogs to visit him until recently. But he asks about them all the time. He can’t wait to see them again ~ it will be soon, Dad!
Thanks, Dad for sharing that passion with me and I wish you a Happy Father’s Day!
Your daughter, Christina
