Our annual conference will take place this year on Thursday 30th November at the Royal Geographical Society, London.
This year’s theme will be ‘Invisible Horses of the Future’.
As World Horse Welfare marks its 90th anniversary, we felt it important that we look ahead to how we might protect the ‘invisible horses’ of tomorrow. Only by learning from the past and scanning the horizon can we prepare for the emerging equine challenges – and take advantage of the potential opportunities.
We aim to explore this theme through a series of presentations, highlighting the future challenges for horses and the changing perceptions around the horse-human partnership. The wide variety of views are evident in the relentless rise of social media, which continues unabated as both an empowering and disruptive force in equine welfare. Our discussion panel will seek to articulate the true meaning of responsible ownership, from birth to death, from sport horse to draught mule and everything in between.
