Animal Abuse in Pennsylvania has gotten national and international attention in recent months due to two animal abuse cases. Libre, the Boston Terrier puppy, who was left to die at a puppy mill in Lancaster County , was saved and is now thriving. However, the Lancaster SPCA director, Sue Martin, refused to file charges against the kennel owner.
A horse had to be euthanized after it collapsed on a road in Lancaster County earlier this month. A bystander watched as its Mennonite owners kicked and punched it creating public outrage. The Lancaster County DA is asking for stronger animal abuse laws.
Kristin Tullo, HSUS PA State Director, will discuss these cases of which she has been involved directly and what is next to combat animal abuse in Pennsylvania. Tune in to see this informational show.
You can view the show by streamlining it at Animal Welfare Issues. The program can also be seen on Ch. 15 (Comcast) Ch. 21 (Service Electric) in Berks County.
