Lindsay Larris, Special Counsel Attorney of Legislative Affairs for the Animal Legal Defense Fund, will talk about the bill introduced by State Senator Marisol Alcantara of New York, “Kokito’s Law.”
Kokito was the 10 month old puppy who was placed in an overhead compartment on a United Airlines flight. Kokito, a French bulldog, was found deceased after his owner removed him once the plane landed 3 1/2 hours later.
The flight attendant who placed the TSA approved carrier in the bin said she didn’t know there was a puppy in the carrier.
Lindsay and I will talk about what is in this bill and what it will mean for our pets on planes.
