Join hundreds of HSHA supporters as they “take the plunge” for homeless animals on New Year’s Day! The Penguin Plunge is an annual fundraiser for the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) that has become a central Pennsylvania tradition for both HSHA and the City of Harrisburg. During the event, more than 300 HSHA supporters “take the plunge” into the icy waters of the Susquehanna River, as hundreds more watch from the shore. Individuals who raise over $75 will receive an event towel. For teams to receive towels, each member must raise at least $75.
REGISTRATION IS NOW AVAILABLE. Click here to participate in this annual New Year’s Day tradition. Click here to view sponsorship opportunities available. Click here to print a donation log.
Meet Rocco, this year’s “Plunge Dog” who will compete against Nipsey, from 105.7 The X, in a head-to-head competion to raise money for all the homeless animals of the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc.(HSHA). Rocco is a former resident of HSHA who arrived from the city of Harrisburg as a stray. In June, this sweet boy went to his FURever home and now has a family of his own. This year Rocco is giving back to the organization that saved his life and is asking for your support too. Please take a moment to donate towards an amazing organization so that Rocco’s friends can find their forever home too!
