By now you’ve read and/or watched the repulsive video of an innocent pit bull named Huey/Cam being murdered by the person he was entrusted to. Huey was given to Marinna Andee Rollins, 22, when her estranged Army husband, Matt, was assigned to South Korea for active duty last year. She reportedly begged to keep Huey. She renamed the dog, Cam. I will refer to the deceased dog as Huey.
Earlier this month Rollins along with her boyfriend Jerren Heng, 26, videotaped the two of them taking turns murdering Huey with a rifle at close range while tied to a tree in the North Carolina woods. Both are currently at the Cumberland County Detention Center, each on a $25,000 bond. If found guilty, they’ll be charged with the felony of animal cruelty and conspiracy.
The manner in which Rollins and Jenn meticulously filmed the entire episode and uploaded it to Facebook for the world to see has the stench of sociopathic behavior. Anyone who pumps five rounds of bullets into their dog while tied to a tree and is heard laughing while the dog convulses is not of sound mind. Not to me. Not to most.
And it appears Rollins may not be of sound mind according to Matt, Rollins’ estranged husband and her sister, Adrianna. She is disgusted with her sister and can’t believe Rollins would have the nerve to send the video to her which she sent to the authorities. Thank God!
This is what is known according to Matt, the estranged husband as told to WCSH6 News.
Matt said in 2014, then- Pvt. Marinna Rollins was ordered to go to Camp Casey in Dognducheon, South Korea in September for a one-year assignment. The two were married before her departure.
Matt goes on to say Rollins was forced home early after she experienced a “traumatic event” but shares no detail but has been confirmed by Rollins’ sister. Adrianna stated her sister told her about it. Due to its alleged severity, her sister was “emotionally troubled” at times.
Matt and Rollins separated in 2015 after claims of infidelity by Rollins. They remained civil and stayed in touch.
Huey, renamed Cam by Rollins, claims she had him medically-certified through the mail by a South Carolina doctor. There is no evidence to prove the dog was trained to be a medical service dog. Rollins claims Cam was her emotional support dog and suffers from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and other emotional issues.
When Rollins received medical retirement from the Army this past December 6th, “Marinna began drinking, smoking weed, and going wild” as stated by Matt. She began a relationship with Heng shortly after ending another relationship.
As stated by Matt, Heng thinks “he’s the most important person in the world” and is very controlling of Rollins. “I’ve listened to the way he talks to her and it’s disgusting.” “Her attraction to Jarren is they share similar personalities, and she identifies with that. He believe Heng had an issue with the continuing contact between Rollins and Matt. He believes “Heng grew a hatred for Huey during this time.”
Matt visited Huey in March before returning to Fort Bragg and the dog was “really happy” to see him. He was asked by Rollins if he wanted the dog back. He couldn’t take Huey because he moved into a place where pets weren’t allowed but would’ve if he had been told earlier. I wonder why she wanted to give Huey back to Matt after declaring she would never return him. Was it because of the hatred Heng felt toward the dog? Was this an attempt to save Huey by Rollins?
It was on April 19 when Adrianna was sent the video of Huey being massacred by these two monsters. After viewing it, she sent the video to the authorities. After denying knowing where her dog was and what the officers were talking about when interviewed by animal control, Rollins was confronted with the viral video which she uploaded to Facebook, said Sean Swain, the sheriff’s office spokesperson. Animal control was told by the couple at their Morgantown Road apartment it cost $75 a week to feed the dog and “it” had some health issues. Were these alleged reasons to get “rid of” Huey?
This past Monday, April 24, Rollins, allegedly drunk, called Matt and told him she might hurt herself because she needed to go to jail. After Matt drove to her place, he finally realized what she did to Huey. Rollins threatened to kill herself with a razor while Matt was at her residence. She was taken to a local hospital and put on suicide watch.
Heng surrendered to police on Monday while the police went to the hospital on Tuesday to charge Rollins with animal cruelty.
Matt told the news station that none of Rollins’ family plans to contribute to her bail.
Matt claims Rollins nor Heng owned a rifle. The firearm that ended the life of an innocent dog was purchased just to kill him.
Rollins and Heng took photos of themselves with the soon-to-be tortured dog. After the dog is tied to a tree, Rollins shoots Huey four times. Heng says, “I want to pop him.” In the video, the couple is heard laughing and giggling as Huey lay dying. As he was convulsing Heng can be heard saying, it was his nerves. The couple covered the dog with a white sheet and putting him in a shallow grave.
“It’s been real, Camy. I love you. You’re my puppy,” Rollins said, as they buried his bullet-ridden body. Is this the mind of a sane person?
The estranged husband loved Huey allowing him to share a bed with him. Huey followed him like a shadow. He said Huey saved him when his house was broken into. Huey scared the would-be burglars by barking and they never returned. Matt is taking the news of the murder of Huey quite hard. He has filed for divorce.
Did Rollins’ traumatic event cause her to savagely murder her dog? Does this excuse her for what she and Heng did to her “medical service” dog?
Was it Heng’s hatred toward Matt that resulted in the tortorous death of Huey?
If Marinna Rollins is found to be suffering from a mental issue, should she receive a lighter sentence or receive mental help? Is Rollins a sociopath? Animal abuse and murder are driven by a lack of empathy mixed with the desire for dominance and supremacy, according to Dawn Drucker, who wrote an article about torturing and killing animals is a sociopathic behavior.
An individual who is able to engage in cruelty to animals appears to have no conscience and thus no remorse for his or her behavior as seen in her deactivated facebook page. Rollins certainly lacks empathy for her horrific act of animal cruelty. In the end, will her mental state determine what will happen to her? Should it?
“I feel so bad for him,” Matt said. “I don’t know if you’ve seen the video, but he’s so scared in the video and it kills me how scared and I want- I want justice”
Share your thoughts on Marinna Rollins and Jarren Heng and what should happen to them.
RIP Huey

Thanks for sharing the information. What a fall from grace to go from outstanding student to dog killer.

His parents must be so proud of him.
So says me, that's who! says
I was going to say that too! Here’s my honor student son- he tied a dog to a tree and helped kill it with a gun. We’re so proud of this piece of crap.”
Witheld says
Futhermore, do the same to the boyfriend. I hope they get prison sentences because prisoners won’t take kindly to this.

What sick pieces of sh#$! Rot in hell!!!!!!
Justice for Huey says
Traumatic event or not, this was premeditated by two people. Even if she is mental, the man could’ve stopped her. Instead, he goes along with it and shoots the dog too. Two perverted people who belong in jail for a long time. Justice for Huey!

So glad Adrianna turned in her own sister. Bastards. I hate them! They better watch their backs. I don’t live near them but where they do live, I’m sure people want blood.
I can’t imagine what Huey felt like being betrayed by the person who supposedly loved him. Poor baby. Breaks my heart and brings tears to my eyes.
Why are people so cruel to animals?
Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein says
Why are people so cruel to animals? That is a very good question, Alicia. The answers are varied. It can depend on their upbringing and how they were taught to treat animals.
Abusing animals can be a sign of a mental disorder.
Animal cruelty is a serious crime and reaching children at a young age is imperative to teach compassion toward animals.
Still, sometimes there may be no answer why someone abuses an animal. Some feel they have the right to do what they want with their animal. They don’t associate animals as sentient beings, in my opinion.
Very good question but no easy answer. Thank you.

Do unto others as they do unto you.

These are two pieces of dirt who were stupid enough to videotape themselves and put it on social media. They’re nuts. They deserve whatever the law provides and more. Probably won’t be enough. Sickos!

Glad she offed herself. Nuff said.

It’s sad no matter what angle you look at this. It was vicious what she did to Huey. I can’t begin to imagine the fear he felt while knowig the person he trusted most was shooting him. RIP Huey. She obviously had mental problems.

What happened to the piece of crap boyfriend? I don’t hear anything about this in the news since she kill herself.

Humans are given the gift of logic, intelligence, and compassion by a higher being, whatever you may think that higher being is to you. Animals don’t possess such traits, except for a few, like dogs. Give a dog love, it will give unconventional love back to you 10 fold. When a human harms a dog, they lose their civility. They show the world they have no compassion or scruples. Such lack of compassion and love and caring for animals places that human at the bottom of the food chain. Think about this…if someone so evil and nasty can do such harm to a beautiful sweet creature like Huey, what are they capable of doing to a person if they reach a certain level of evil? The Native Americans would ask, “What color is your heart? Has it gone bad?” Rollin’s heart was black from the get go. Have no pity of compassion for this monster.
