Could it be? Could Almost Heaven (Hell) Kennels be out of business soon? According to the PA Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement, they have denied to renew Eckhart’s 2009 kennel license. The reason for the denial- the October 2008 inspection – one of the largest raids on a puppymill, I mean kennel, in PA.
Eckart does have 30 days to appeal this decision. And my guess is he will. This is all he knows how to do -to make money off of dogs breeding without considering the welfare of the dogs. However, if he doesn’t appeal, Almost Heaven Kennel will be closed and any dog over the 25 dog limit that is allowed without a kennel license will be taken.
We’ll see what happens. I’m not jumping up and down for joy just yet. Eckhart has now been ordered to stand trial for boarding dogs when he was specifically told he was not allowed. Refusing to adhere to the kennel license order results in a third-degree misdemeanor under the PA Law.
As I said, we’ll have to wait and see. I can’t personally see Eckhart just willingly leaving the puppymill business. He has proven he doesn’t care about any orders given to him. Hence the new trial for boarding dogs when he wasn’t supposed to.
We’ll see in 30 days if he appeals the decision. I would bet he does appeal the decision. Your thoughts- do you think Eckhart will appeal the revocation of his 2009 kennel license?
