Whilst legally filming a live pigeon shoot on Sunday November 18th, the drone came under fire by an unknown party participating in the live pigeon shoot. Local law enforcement was notified and the incident is currently under investigation. SHARK uses the remote controlled drone to videotape illegal animal abuse committed at live pigeon shoots, a controversial issue in Pennsylvania. Damage to the drone was estimated at around $4,000.
Pennsylvania is the one of only a few states to still allow live pigeon shoots which are held openly, mostly at private hunting and gun clubs. Tens of thousands of birds are used as live targets every year.
Photographs of the damaged drone are available by request.
