Most animal welfare advocates/activists are aware that buying a puppy online is a bad idea. Selling a puppy over the internet typically indicates that the seller runs a puppy mill -common knowledge among those of us who have insight into these horrific practices.
On the Today Show this morning, reporter,Lisa Meyers investigated puppies that were and are being sold over the internet but with serious consequences for the owners.
In her report, she investigates Purebred Breeders, which is a puppy broker that owns over 800 websites that sells sick puppies to unsuspecting consumers. In other words, the puppies originate from the seedy and greedy side of puppy mills run by people who are out to take your hard-earned cash, sometimes thousands for one dog, to allow them to live a lavish lifesytle. Watch and learn how the puppy mill industry is and has been infiltrating the internet.
Please do not buy a puppy over the internet unless you are able to meet the breeder and the mother and father of the puppies in person. NO reputable breeder will deal with you in any other manner!
