The 8th Annual Pennsylvania Week for the Animals kicked off this past Saturday, October 3rd and will conclude on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
Events across the Keystone State will be held throughout the week with many animal shelters/rescues/organizations/individuals involved You don’t need to attend an event to show your appreciation for animals. Do something on your own to make life better for animals whether it’s volunteering, educating, walking dogs, brushing cats, visiting a shelter, or donating money.
Animal World USA is presenting the Pennsylvania Week for the Animals as part of our Animal World USA Weeks for the Animals campaign. Different states hold their Week for the Animals throughout the year. Other countries are involved as well.
Animal-related events will be held including adoption fairs, lectures, spay/neuter events, farm animal activities, therapy dogs visiting hospitals and living-assisted homes and so much more. Check out the website to see what events are near you.
The week will conclude with observing a moment of prayer for the animals on Sunday. This is a multi-faith observance. We are being asked to light a candle while offering prayers, poems and memorials.
Wherever you are, if you can observe a moment for the animals who need us…that collective energy will surely grow and bring light to our cause to love, assist and help them from any and all suffering. For poems, quotes or additional inspiration,

No matter how small or big, you can make a difference in the lifves of animals. All you must do is to be involved in some capacity.

People used to get really involved with this project but I think interest has waned over the years.
