A mother and her puppies that were removed from this “horror” house and property
A dog head hanging from a tree, a dead dog found on the roof of the house, dog skeletons found on this 3 acre property and 5 skulls in the house ~ just a few horrific scenese found by animal control authorities on one property in Boulder Creek, California.
It took a neighbor hearing the animals crying in pain to alert the authorities to the 38 mangy, mistreated dogs. But this isn’t the first time this man has been reported. Why was this man allowed to have these dogs? Some dogs were in crates so small they couldn’t move around with no food or water. They were found in their own urine and feces. One dog had been living inside the cab of a truck for over a year or two. What?
The dogs are now safe, some at the Scotts Valley animal shelter but most at a veterinarian’s office being treated for severe worm infestations, severe flea problems, mange and skin issues.
The authorities aren’t sure if these dogs were used for fighting purposes since some have quite a few scars on them as the video you are about to watch clearly shows. A number of puppies were removed as well. Authorites also think this man may have been illegally breeding and selling the dogs as purebreds even though he didn’t possess a kennel license.
They have no intention of giving back these dogs to this “gentleman” according to Animal Services field manager, Todd Stosuy. I hope he is NEVER allowed to have any pets again! The District Attorney, Bob Lee said he couldn’t comment on the fate of the dogs or the charges this man will face. This is a no-brainer to me. What do you think?
That is one thing that upset me when I worked at an animal shelter. Returning animals that have been abused to their owners. I don’t understand the logic. There was one clear cut case to me when a woman who hoarded dogs. They were mistreated, unkept and most stayed outside and in the end -( and I was at the hearing for this one )- she was allowed to keep some of them. I was told the pet owners need to be educated on how to properly take care of their dogs, cats, etc. I understand the point but hoarders have a mental illness and cannot be educated on the damage and mistreatment they are doing to their pets. Some of those dogs were euthanized because of their severe conditions.
The man involved in this case appears to be a monster to me.
Hopefully these dogs will have a better outcome and I believe they will. Watch the video and decide for yourself.
If you see and hear any type of animal abuse/neglect, PLEASE contact your local shelter or police. Without us, these animals are defenseless against such monsters!
